Job Summary and Qualifications

The phlebotomist is also the primary lab employee responsible for answering lab phones; receiving all specimens (including pneumatic tube) and receiving /putting up supplies. Also, responsible for charting patient reports in a timely and accurate manner. Possesses a thorough understandingof all areas of operations within the laboratory; how the laboratory interacts with other hospital departments and outsidecustomers. Population served: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.
